The Living Library
A companion to the book ← Are You Actually Hungry?

The place the book continues.

Every chapter has a door at the back of it. This is where those doors open.

The book stays slim and timeless on purpose — it doesn’t carry the fifty recipes, the research that keeps changing, the trackers and worksheets, the long version of every practice. Those would date it. They live here instead, and here they keep growing. So think of this less as a resource center and more as a living appendix: the book, still talking — reaching you in the season you’d otherwise have drifted, with exactly the thing that chapter pointed you toward. One rule keeps the whole place honest: if a piece can’t name the chapter it grows from, it doesn’t belong here. This isn’t a content vault. It’s the book, alive.

All eighteen chapter doorways are open now: the Four Questions, the juice-recipe shelf, the tiered Research shelves, and a real continuation behind every chapter — reflectors, worksheets, journals, and short films. It keeps growing from here — honestly, and only where a piece can name the chapter it came from.

What’s here today

Live

The Question — the four hungers

Grows from Chapter 10. A short, private reflection on the four hungers food can’t feed — no score, no type, no verdict. It ends on a question for you.

Live

The Research shelves

Grows from Chapters 13–15. What the science can — and can’t — confirm. Every claim wears its evidence: strong, promising, or unproven, said plainly. A debunk is shelved here as proudly as a confirmation, because a debunk is worth exactly as much as a confirmation. This is the book’s honesty, made into a place you can check.

Seed

The Recipe Library

Grows from Chapter 6. Real, but small on purpose: twelve to begin, more as we go. For support and enjoyment, not a cure.

Live

Begin here — the First 36 Hours

Grows from Chapter 3. The shortest honest fast there is — free, genuinely complete, and the gentlest place to feel the noise drop.

Live

Continue any chapter — all eighteen doorways

Scanned a QR code in the book? Every one of the eighteen chapters now opens onto a real continuation — ask-don’t-score reflectors (Three Doors, the body-signals reflector, the common-sense decider), printable worksheets and journals (the Noise Audit, the Curiosity Inventory, the Terrain Journal, the 30-Day Reintegration Guide), and short films — each carrying its At-a-Glance and Common Sense Check.

Still growing — named so you can see where it’s heading

Growing

The shelves are full now — all eighteen doorways are built, including the paper Terrain Journal (Chapter 5) and the 30-Day Reintegration Guide (Chapter 17). What’s still honestly not built: the interactive Terrain Tracker (log your fasts across the years and watch your own patterns emerge) and live habit-tracking inside the Reintegration Guide — both need accounts to hold your history, so they arrive in a later phase. A few chapter films (the Master Cleanse story, Day Eleven, the Long View) are still to be recorded. We’d rather you saw an honest “coming” than a page padded to look finished.
